MLB Picks: June 12

By Stefan Luciani

How about them Diamondbacks and Phillies the other day, eh? Pretty proud of those picks to be honest with you, I just felt good about them from the start. But my favourite day to make money has got to be Sundays. Nothing worse than dreading Monday morning because, well, Mondays just kind of suck. So let’s end this weekend properly.

The Blue Jays lost to the Tigers yesterday in their second meeting of that three-game set, less than 24 hours after putting up 10 runs and 15 hits on them the night previous. That’s baseball though. I do not expect them to lose a series to the Detroit Tigers though, no offence to any fans who might be reading this. So my eyes were instantly pulled towards the runline which, as usual, is sitting at -1.5 for the Jays. Lucky for you guys, FanDuel has the line sitting on quite a tasty pedestal @ +125.

For me, it’s a no brainer. Detroit is sending Tarik Skubal to the mound who has actually really impressed me this season. His 2.33 ERA is definitely an attractive stat on his resume. But he is a lefty, going against a strong lineup made up predominantly of rightys. The Jays still put up nine hits in their loss yesterday, so expect them to come out hot in this one, knowing what’s on the line in today’s contest.

Pick: Blue Jays runline -1.5 @ +125 (FanDuel) vs the Tigers.

Other Notable Games:

Red Sox ML @ +132 (LeoVegas) vs the Mariners:

Look, the Red Sox, as much as it pains to admit it, have been playing some good baseball of late. They were not so hot for much of the early season, but have clawed their way to now over .500. They’re closing out a three-game series with the mariners today after having split the first two. Reigning Cy Young winner Robbie Ray is on the bump for the Mariners this afternoon, but has been about as far away as possible from his Cy Young form as he could be (I think he should just mail the trophy to Pete Walker at this point, but I digress). Sox all the way baby, ugh that hurt to say.

One of betstamp’s largest brand values is transparency. Whether you are looking to tail or fade my picks, or potentially just like reading the breakdowns, you can find my full documented betting record here. Best of luck with your bets today.
