Arghhh The Pirates take on the Nationals: June 28

Written by Cartichoke

Welcome people, hope you are having a super blessed day, and if you aren’t I will make sure to bless you the best I can with a WINNER.

That is right, it is Tuesdayyyyyyyyyyyy. The best day to win money.

We have the Pittsburgh Pirates (29-44) heading to Nationals Park to take on the Washington Nationals (28-48).

Two very struggling teams this year but one team is going to have to come out on top in this game unfortunately, and I think I know who does it too… Arghhhh matey, pitching for the Pirates is José Quintana, he comes into this game with a 1-4 record, 3.60 ERA and a 1.30 WHIP. Those are actually quite respectable numbers right there, it isn’t lights out but it isn't dog water either.

His last two starts have been solid as well; against the Cubs on June 23rd, he pitched 6 innings and only gave up 6 hits and 2 earned runs. Before that, on the 18th he pitched 5.1 innings with 6 hits and 3 earned runs allowed. I tip my cap to José, very respectable.

For the Nationals is Patrick Corbin, he has an ugly 3-10 record, 6.60 ERA and 1.78 WHIP. Those numbers literally almost made me vomit a bit in my mouth. He has been getting tagged as of late, only able to pitch 4 innings against the Orioles, giving up 7 hits and 3 earned runs. The game before that against the Phillies he pitched 3.1 innings and got absolutely smacked around, giving up 9 runs (but only 2 earned…weird) but still, he isn’t the pitcher he used to be.

So, with all that being said, I’ll take the Pittsburgh Pirates here tonight. Yes, they are currently on a 4 game losing streak, but 3 of those have come against the Rays, and one game they blew a ninth inning lead, when having 2 outs and a 2-2 count with bases empty. That is just a tough loss, but this Pirates team is a scrappy squad.

They just called up the scary Oneil Cruz, he is 6 foot 7, and can smash the ball as well as whip the ball from short to first base at like 96mph.

Yes, I am betting against Juan Soto but SCARED MONEY DON’T MAKE MONEY.

Give me the underdog Pirates in Game 2 of this series and let’s win some freakin’ money this Tuesday.
