Wimbledon Women's Final (Ons Jabeur vs. Elena Rybakina): July 08

By Adam Oretga

With one more day until the women's Wimbledon Final match, let's see if we can jump on this nice matchup a little early to get some value. One of these women will be lifting up a grand slam title for the first time in her career.

Let's start right off the bat by doing a deep dive into Ons Jabeur. At 27 years old, Jabeur can be one of the new faces of the women's tour that will make headlines for years to come. Not only that, Jabeur has become the first Arab player to reach a grand slam final at Wimbledon.

Rybakina came into her semi-final matchup against Simona Halep, and took down the former No.1 women's player in straight sets 6-3, 6-3. Rybakina's serve reached 120MPH as she blasted Halep off the court in straight sets.

Interestingly enough, although Rybakina comes in with a powerful serve and groundstrokes, Jabeur has the perfect style of tennis to give her lots of trouble. As they say, styles make for great matchups, and this can turn into one of those.

For many people who haven't seen Jabeur play yet, she is a player who has some of the best touch on a tennis court that I have personally seen. Her ability to keep players off-balance with drop shots, and great touch while playing at the net gives her a significant advantage in neutralizing the power of Rybakina. With Jabeur being able to extend her opponent around the tennis court, this will help to disrupt the power that she is sure to face from Rybaking.

Aside from having this advantage, Jabeur is a player that will never make you question her commitment to doing her best to win a tennis match. Even if she gets down in a tennis match, Jabeur possesses the ability to figure out her opponent and make the appropriate adjustments to come out on top.

I feel like Rybakina will have an opportunity to win a major; but I don't see that happening in Saturday's final. I do see Rybakina providing some resistance on the grass-court against her opponent. However, Jabeur has a few more tools to keep her opponent off balance and lift her first Grand Slam singles title trophy.

Pick: Ons Jabeur -143 ML (Coolbet Sportsbook)
